As some of you might know The Emerald Guards 6 a side league finished last night. I am disappointed to say, that despite leading the league for 8 weeks out of 10, The Guard finished in 2nd place, 7 points behind the leaders.
I'd just like to say well done and thank you to everyone that played for The Guard, I think we all know we were very unlucky in the end.
The next league will be starting in the middle of march. I will only enter a team for this if I get 10 players, who all give me their money (£45) before I confirm a place. I am only doing this as I have a lot of money hassle with this last league and have ended up paying a lot more myself than I should have. If anyone thinks this isn't the way to do it and has a better idea, I will happily hand over the responsibility of organising the whole thing to the first person that asks.
